Second Appointment: Ovulation Check

Give a Girl the D

Give a Girl the D

Friday, January 22, 2021

Today I had another ultrasound to confirm ovulation and to also go over my blood test results. Everything looks good, except I have a vitamin D deficiency. I’m not surprised by this, because this also happened when I was living in Germany. Germany and Korea don’t give me the sun that I need. I am a Florida girl and have only known being out in the sun and water, so my body is not happy! I’ve had zero tan lines for the past 2 years…ZERO TAN LINES! I need the D. Also, my AMH came back like that of a 36-year-old.  However,  my ultrasound showed a decent amount of eggs.  My Doctor gave me new vitamins to start taking along with a vitamin D supplement.  Since I ovulated, either yesterday or today, I will begin suppressing next week, which is part of a long protocol.

The goal is to suppress the ovaries before starting stimulation so that the follicles can grow evenly, as opposed to one lead follicle growing the largest, which usually happens naturally.
